<Exr 99> Thomas Fincher of Meaxtowne in the Countie of Dublin gentleman sworne and examined deposeth and sayth That before the Rebelljon began this deponent and John ap Richard Late of Woodtowne in the County of Dublin now deceased this deponents late father in lawe had taken a farme at Woodtowne in the County of Dublin of one Mr Leventhorp and had stocked the same with Cattell and horses and bestowed building thereon but soone in & soone after the Rebelljon began they were deprived expelled and despojled of all the same to their losse and damage of One hundred and sixteene powndes sterling, and of 5 horses worth 12 li., And of ready mony, a Coate & sword worth vij li. x s., by the Rebells, whose names he knoweth not, only he mainely suspecteth one William Herrald of Killikie in the County of Dublin the sonn of Robert Herald their neighbours to be guilty thereof, and of the takeing away of other mens goods Alsoe for that he the said William Herald went away from his habitacion & fathers howse that night that the said goods and cattell were taken away & contynued euer since amongst the Rebells: And saith that since those goodes aforesaid were taken away, this deponents father in lawe bequeathed all his goodes & chattells to this deponent and djed And this deponent haveing lost all his goods by the meanes aforesaid tooke vp Armes for his Maiesty against the Rebells, and hath since served as a troop vnder the Comand of Captain Tho: Armstrong knight.
