The Examinacion of Shane ô Mahon of Glan in the County of Tyrone taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight &c the sixth day of November 1641.
<G> The said Examinant saith that he was borne at Glan in the County of Tyrone & liued the upon the Lord of Hothe his land & liued there with his mother a poore widdow woman & saith that he came to this Citty of Dublin upon Thursday was fortnight & saith that his businesse of comming to Towne at that time was that one Tirlagh mc Carell a drover hired him to help him to driue cattell to the Navan & that he beeing at the Navan a Butcher that bought those Cattell whose name he knoweth not hired him to driue the same beasts to Dublin and agreede to giue him two shillings for his paines & saith that upo{
