<A> The examjnacion of John Murphy late of Holliwood in the County of wickloe now prisoner in Dublin aged twenty eight yeares or thereabouts taken the seauenth of March 1653
who beeing examjned saith, That at the begining of the Rebellion the examjnant liued in Holliwood in the County of wickloe with his father Phelim Murphy, hee saith hee knew Jane fflood the wife of Phillipp fflood of the Naas before the Rebellion, but since the rebellion hee hath not seene the said Jane fflood, Hee saith that about the begining of the Cessacion the examjnants father died and then the examjnant liued went into Munster and liued with Mr James Aylmer of Thomond with whom hee continued vntill May last and then the examjnant came towards the County of Dublin and liued at Castlewarning about Michmas last, and comeing to the Citty of Dublin vppon his occasions hee was arreasted at the suite of Nicholas Mogly of the Citty of Dublin weauer on but vppon security giuen by the examjnant to answeare the said Moglies suite the examjnant was enlarged and about a weeke afterwardes goeing goeing from Castlewarning towards ffinglas and passeing ouer the greene

comeing to this Citty vppon his occasions and returneing out of the Citty was H omewards was neere the draw bridge in oxmantowne was apprehended by lieutenant Collonell Arnopp and sent prisoner to Marshall Peake where hee continued euer since, The examjnant further saith that hee soone after the begining of the Rebellion beeing in Holliwood hee heard it generally reported that the said Jane fflood was hanged by the Irish Rebells but theire names hee remembreth not, And further saith not
