The Examinacion of Donogh o Bane o Re Hortonan of Neagham in the County of Kilkeny yeoman aged 2[
This examinant sworne & being examined saith that he was borne att the Graunge in the County of Wexford & from thence came to Tynihench when he was about 10 years of age, & was foot boy to James Butler of Tynehinch aforesaid: & that he came thither 4 years befor the Rebellion:
Being demaunded what gentlemen resided or comonly resorted to the said James Butler his howse he saith Mr Edmond Butler sonn to Lord Mountgarratt would come with his wife and stay 3 or 4 dayes, & Mr Walter Bagnall with his wife & stay sometymes 5 or 6 dayes:
Being demaunded what comaund James Butler had, he saith none, but that he had armes & kept men in armes for his owne guard & to defend his howse being asked what was the names of such servants or soldi ers as were imployed for his guard, he <B> saith Dermott o Dogheden, his groome, John o fferden Edmond o Brin who liveth with Thomas Paries nere Catherlogh, John fforestall, Garratt mc Cody, Richard mc Cody of the Graige Daniell Prendergast of Tinihinich, Gibbon fforestall Garratt fforestall with others whose names he doth not rememb{
Being demaunded what English he did know inhabiting in the towne of Graige he saith he did know John Stone, his wife & children & seuerall others whose names he remembreth not and saith that he remembreth that when the said John Stone & his ffamily with others were taken away & murthered ther was an englishman a carpenter who wrought with his Master was att that tyme likewise [
And further saith that his Master when he retorned from Waterford ho{
And further saith that a servant of Henry Bagnolls whose name he knoweth not went with Garrott mc ody to bring away William Stone from his worke when he was hanged & further saith not
