The Examinacion of Richard Comerford of Newtowne in the County of Tipperary aged 50ty years or therabouts taken the 29th day of August 1652
The said Richard being duly examined saith, that he lived att new Graige in the Barony of Iverke in the County of Kilkeny att & <B> befor the tyme of the irruption of the Rebellion & ther continued till may last was twelmonth: and saith that he was Leiftenant to John Comerford of Balliburr, who was made a Captain, among about ffebruary 1641: being examined what ther first service or designe, he saith that they marched into Peirs the Lord Peirces Country in the County of Waterford, & he believeth that it was to banish the English & seise vpon ther goods, he saith that his Captain Company was belonging to Collonell Richard Butler of Kilcash his Regiment who was with them all the March, being asked which way they then marched, he saith that ther Rendivouz was att Carrack, from they marched in the Lord Peirces Countrey, from thence towards Dongarvan, & from the{
