Charles Camble sworne & examined
sayth that he was beinge at Clones in the Countie of Monaghan He was there detayned prisoner by Rory oge mc ma h Patterick mcMahoone & [

where as he was informed the certayne of the lords of the pale namelie the lord of Gormanstowne the lord Netterfeld & the lord of lowthe were at severall tymes in conferrence with the Northerne Rebells & the examinant further sayth that he herd sundry of the McMahoons affirme that the Earle of Antrym had as great a hand was interested in this bus i ness business meaneing the Rebellion wherein they had declared themselues as much as they & that the castle of Dublin should have been takeen by the sayd Earle the lord MaGuyre & H Hughe Oge McMahoon & likewise the examinant herd one Ever McMahoone saye that there was not a free houlder in this king e dome woorth tenn pounds yeerly rent of the Romishe religion whoe did not know before hand of this business meaneing the present Rebellion aswell as those whoe now declared themselues at the seege of Drogheda
