Margarett Conygrave of St: Johns towne in the parrish of Clonbrony in the Barrony of Grannor within the Countie of Longford Widdowe sworne and examined saith That: upon the 27th: daye of October last: her late husband George Conygrave and her selfe were at: St Johns towne robbed stripped and dispoiled of goodes of the values hereafter experessed (vizt:) in their stock of hides and Barke with their Tannefatts, and Tanhouse worth: 40 s., howseholdgoodes worth five powndes, One lease worth five powndes and fowre Powndes in a debt due from one Donnogh: ô Bronan of the same towne (which the rebells inforced him to paye unto them) In all amountinge to fiftie and fowre <A.> powndes, By or by the meanes of ffaghna ffarrell of Lysneneghan, James Nugent: of Cooleamraghe, Donnell ffarrell of Kilshroute and Mary ffarrell his mother of the same, Bryan ffarrell of: Aghie Arkin Teig ffarrell of Aghie renny Rory ffarrell from Drunbadd, Edmund ffarroll from Donar Donnell

<B.> Donnell ffarrell of: Cloneffin with many others of their tennants and followers all of: them sayeing they had authoritie from the King and Counsell under the broade seale for what they did, And soe they stripped her husband, herselfe, and two Children, and her said husband (being aged) with the greife of it and with his hard travell to Dublin, and for want of necessary sustenance is since his comeinge hither dead, and shee and her two Children left in great: miserie, And further this Deponent saieth that: Cormock fferrall of Clanbeng=feild <C> in the parish of: Clondrony and Cahill o: Mehan a popish Preist said that: the Kinge was in Scottland, and would not: retourne into England for the English had a new Kinge, the Palsgrave and had banished the Queene into ffrance And alsoe said that: the English had Cutt off: the head of the Queenes Preist and Cutt off his privy members, and throwne them in his face and had quartered him before the Queenes face
