The Examinacion of Connor Kenney of Longford Gent taken before me the 29th of May 1654.
The said Examinant being duely sworne & Examined sath that Connock mcRosse ffarrall was chiefe in Command at the Seige of Longford when Quarter was promissed to the English which said Connock was killed at the battell of Roconnell as the Examinant hath credibly heard: And further saith that the vndernamed Persons were Comanders vnder him to the best of the Examinants remembrance vizt John Reynolds and one Heslenan who begun the murther and killed Mr Thomas Trafford Minister as the Examinant was credibly informed. And further sath that he knoweth not what is become of the said Jn Reynolds but he hath heard two or three years agone that he lived in some Parte of the Kinges Countie and hath alsoe heard that the said Heslenan is Since deceased: The said Examinant further sath that Rowry mc Gerald ffarrall Lyssagh mc Gerald ffarrall Richard mc Connell ffarrall being then Comanders in the said Seidge & Connell Cam ffarrall whoe was called Marshall & Executed Mr Thomas Allen as the Examinant was informed are or were lately all Liveing in some Parte of vlster but where he knoweth not: Hee further saith That one James & Teige mc Shane ffarrall were both actors in the horrid

horrid murther at Longford & heard about a yeare since that they were both Liveing either in the <B> County of Kildare or Meath but which of both he knoweth not nor whether they or either of them be now Liveing or dead; He further sath that Donnogh mc Teige boy ffarrall and Garret Roe mc Teige boy ffarrall were at the murther aforesaid as he hath credibly heard and as he hath alsoe heard were alsoe Liveing in the North some two or three years agone but whether they be alive or dead or where they are he knoweth not
He further saith that as he hath credibly heard the severall Persons whose names ensue were at the said murther at Longford that is to say Captain Morrogh mcEdm: ffarrall of the Rine Captain ffaghna ffarrall of Tully and Captain John mc Kernan of the County of Cavan with severall others whose names he knoweth not & and that they are all Since dead or gone for Spaine. He further saith that Captain Roger Nangle then being at Longford was Since killed at Tyreconnell & that Donnogh mcConnell whoe was alsoe in Armes in the Seige is since deceased. That ffergus mc Edmund ffarrall another of the beseigers is gone for Spaine All those that were about the murther and Massacre as aforesaid he saith were from the Borders of the Countyes of

<C> Longford Letrym and Cavan whose names he doth not know but sath That Captain John mc Keadagh ffarrall of Ballecor & Lievtenant Edm Oge ffarrall both besieegers are Since dead as he hath heard reported & that Charles ffarrall of Carteronreagh with Severall others of the beseigers are alsoe dead & gone over seas as he hath alsoe heard: He further saith that Damell Oge ffarrall of Ballegarowe Lievtenant to Morrogh mcEdm: as aforesaid another of the beseigers is gone to Spaine and James mc Garret ffarrall of Corbehey was kild at Roconnell Battle & Rosse mc James ffarrall kild at the North And the James Oge ffarrall of Carrick is gone for Spaine And that William Entlevey ffarrall of Clonart is since deceased & Edm: ffarrall a Lievtenant was killed at Treconnell all which Persons he sometymes during the Siege in Longford saw in Armes in the said Towne of Longford at such tyme as he the said Examinant came from his ffarme of Coulnehinsie where he then lived to the said Towne of Longford about his owne affaires in which Towne he saith he durst not stay himselfe for feare he or his wife should be kild by reason She is an English woman and further he saith he cannot Depose.
