The examinacion of James Jurdane of Eniscorthy gent aged thirty foure yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath, on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Danyell Cavanagh of Ballimortaugh in the barrony of Scarewailsh & County of wexford gent deceased
<To the 1st Inter.> The Examinant saith that the said Danyell dwelt at Ballimortaugh in the barronie, & County aforesaid, in the Irish quarters, the first yeare and the remainder of the rebellyon and from thence, did not remooue into the <x> english quarters as diuers english & protestants dwelling at Eniscorthy, neere the said Danyell did then remooue The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponents habitacion was nigh to the said Danyell during the warre.
<To the 2d inter> He Cannot depose
<To the 3d Inter> The deponent saith that he verily Beleiues the said Danyell did contribute money and prouisions towardes the <y> maintenance of the Irish forces, the first yeare of the said Rebellyon and since, as the Inhabitants in that barrony generally did.
<To the 4th inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 5th Inter> The Deponent saith, that he did seauerall times see the said danyell at the Publicque meetings held by the Irish at Scarewailsh, the first yeare some time of the said <z> Rebellyon and since in order to aduise of their affayres, & how to manadge the Irish designe against the english.
<To the 6th 7th 8th> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 9th Interr> The deponent saith that about the yeare 1646: the said Daniell did execute the office of high constable in parte of the <a> said Barrony of Scarewailsh: The deponents Cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was present in or about that yeare when there came a partie of the Irish horse to be quartered in the Barrony, when he did see the

the sayd Danyell asigne, and appointe them their Respectiue quarters vpon his parte of the or precinckt of the said Barrony
<To the 10th Inter> The Deponent saith That the said Danyell had a sonne, whose name the examinant Cannot at present call to minde, who <b> was a souldyer in the Irish Armie, But as this deponent was informed, by generall relacion of his Neighbours but in what Capacity or condicion his said sonne serued the deponent knoweth not, or where he now is
