Nicholas Staples of Ballihally gent aged thirty fiue yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne & examined Concerning the foresaid Patr Cullun deposeth & saith that about foure monthes after wexford was subdued to the obedience of the english there came a warrant signed by one Collonel Dungan an or some other officer of the Irish partie Directed to the said Patricke & the deponent Requiring them to rayse a some <g> monyes, to about the vallue of fiftie poundes for mayntenance of the Irish Armie then in Armes: which said Patr: in pursuance thereof imposed a rate vpon the halfe of the said barrony, of Bargie to that effect & sent the said warrant signed by Collonel Dungan or some other as aforesaid to this deponent by one of his the said Patrickes seruants acquaintin{
