The examinacion of Richard Whitt{
<To the 1st interr> The examinant Deposeth & saith that the deponent knew the said christofer & that the said Christopher dwelte in the County of wexford in the Irish quarters the whole time of the rebellyon and did not thence remooue into the <q> english quarters as the deponent Conceiues he might haue done as well as the seauerall protestants dwelling in the said County did the deponents cause of knowledge hereafter apperes
<To the 2d interr> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d interr
& 4th> The deponent saith that the said Christopher did not onely Contribute his owne person, but did alsoe raysed men & furnished them with Armes to forward the said rebellyon, & further saith that the said Christopher in the first yeare of the said rebellyon about A forthnight before Christmas 1641: with about fortie men in his Company whereof the said Christopher was Captaine, (which Name he still retayneth) & with that Company came to this deponents <r> howse & & being denyed entrance thereunto did with force & Armes breake open a window in the deponents howse, & with force & Armes entred into the same & there rifled & plundered the deponents howse & carryed the examinants goods thereout to the vallue of twenty poundes, the deponents cause of knowledge is that he was in the said howse when the said christofer by force brake into & plundered the said howse, & did see the said christofer Comand that partie, then with him & vnder his Comand: And further saith that the said christofer

did as plunder the howse of Nicholas Codd of Castletowne esquire a protestant then fled into wales which Castletowne is within lesse then a quarter of a mile to the deponents habitacion, which [

<To the 12th inter> The deponent saith that the said Christopher ffurlong when he came to this deponents howse & brake thereinto as aforesaid, brought with him a ferkin of powther <t> which he told the deponent he had taken out of the howse of Castletowne of the goods of the said Nicholas Codd
