The Examinacion of Donnogh Keinsly late of Balliclery yeoman aged sixtie yeares or therabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning william Doyle of Porchester in the barrony of Goary & County of wexford gent: vpon the Interrogatoryes &c
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant saith that the said William Doyle dwelt at Porchester the first yeare of the Rebellyon and afterwardes in the Irish quarters without remoouing himselfe, as sir walsingham Cooke knight Edward Chichester esquire Abell Ram gent and other protestants in that barronie did, His cause of knowledge is for that he dwelt vnder sir walsingham Cooke as his seruant at the <u> begining of the rebellyon and did know of his departure, and in that the deponent did for diuers yeare of the rebellyon see the said william in the Countrey among other gentleman thereof
<To the 2d inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th Inter> The deponent saith that the said william did help to further the warre against the english in the first yeare thereof, by being himselfe In Armes & by hauing a Companie of souldyers vnder his Comand: The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent hauing occassion to goe to Thomas Masterson to Carnow to get againe some cowes of the deponents that were taken away by some of the said Mastersons partie about Christmas 1641: The deponent <w> did see the said william Doyle and his Companie with many other Companies of the Irish forces, that were at that time lyeing against the said castle of Carnow beseiging the same, wherein there were some english: And that afterwardes & before that time likewise the deponent did see the said william with his companie marching to and from Carnow aforesaid through the Countrey, and further saith not &c
