The Examination of John Silvester of Ross aged about 28 yeares taken in the behalfe of the Lord Protector, and the Comon wealth of England duly sworne & examined deposeth as full against the seuerall persons whose names are inserted in the Margint proprietors of houses & smale parcells of Land in & about Ross <Jn Barwick, Tho Duff, Will Bennett, James Motley, Dominick White, Edw Cumberford, Pet: Nevell Rich. 1 Inter To the first hee saith that the seuerall persons <m> whose names are in the Margint inserted did live in the Towne of Ross in the first yeare of the Rebellion & sithence & did not remove into the English Quarters as other English & Protestants did
To the 2d hee cannot depose
To the 3d hee saith that the aforenamed persons did pay all publique Levies imposed vppon them during the first yeare of the Rebellion & sithence as <n> others of the Towne did it being imposed vppon all
To the 4: 5: 6: 7 & 8th hee cannot depose
To the 9 hee saith that Dominick White Richard Delahyde & Mathew ffitzharris were soveraignes of the Towne of Ross since the first yeare of the Rebellion and Tho Duff & Will Bennett baylifes of the Towne & was before the comeing over of the English Army vnder the Comand of the now Lord Protector.
To the 10: 11: 12 & 13 hee cannot depose
