The Examination of Nickolas Stafford Esquire taken on behalfe of the Commonwealth concerninge the aforesaid Richard Dake
<to the 1st interro:> this deponent sath that the said Richard in the first yeare of the warr and euer since <r> did liue at Morringtowne aforesaid and in the Irish quarters and sath that the said Richard migh haue remoued himselfe into the english quarters as others did
<to the 2 interro:> he Can not depose
<to the 3 interro> this deponent sath that the said Richard did actually Contribute in the first yeare of <s> the warr to the maintainance of the Irish forces as others of the Countrye did
<to the 4: 5 and 6th interro:> he Can not depose
<to the 7th interro:> this deponent sath that the said Rich did <t> take the oath of associacion it beinge generally imposed
<to the 8 interro:> he can not depose
<to the 9 interro:> this deponent sath that he knoweth of noe office that the said Richard had any tyme <u> of the Warr except a high Constable which this deponent well knoweth
