Donnogh Murphy late of Garans in the barrony of Ballaghkeen gentleman aged thirty foure yeares or thereabouts Deposeth Concerning the foresaid Thomas Codd & Jesper his brother That the said Jesper was in Armes in the first beginning of the said rebellion & was Leiutenant to Captain Teig Murchoe and was in <a> fight against the english at the battell of Kilrush neere Dublin where the said Jesper was killed The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the Deponent was a souldier in the said Company in his hand at that time and further saith not &c
