The examinacion of Nichas Stafford of Ballinakeharne in the County of wexford esquire Aged forty foure yeares or thereabouts taken on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning John Stafford of Balliconnor in the County gent deceased
<To the 1st interr> The examinant deposeth and saith that the said John did liue at Balliconnor in the County of wexford in the <a> Irish quarters the first yeare of the warre & Sithence & did not remooue there from into the english quarters as he might haue done which the english & protestants residing neere him did
<To the 2d Interr> he cannot depose
<To the 3d interr> He saith that the said John did in the first yeare of the warre and sithence actually contribute In all <b> publicque taxes for the maintenance of the warr as the others of the Countrey generally did
<To the 4th interr> Hee saith that the said John was in actuall Armes the first yeare of the warre & parte of the yeare [
<To the 5th inter> The deponent saith that the said John was at publicque meetings amongst other gentry of the countrey <d> in the first yeare of the warre to the deponents personall knowledge
<To the vjth inter> the deponent saith & is confident that the said John was <e> a member of the County Councell the first yeare of the warre

<To the 7th inter> The examinant deposeth that he is confident that the said John <f> did take the oath of associacion it being a generall thing
<To the 8th inter> He cannot depose
<To the 9th inter> the deponent refferreth himselfe to the his answeare vnto the 6th interrogatory
<To the 10 inter> The deponent saith that the said John had a brother by name John Haman Stafford a fryar which said Haman liued in <g> wexford in the Irish quarters where the said he the said Haman was killed at the storming & taking thereof by the Lord generall Cromwells Armie as the Deponent heard
<To the 11th & 12th> The Deponent saith that he credibly heard that the said John Stafford tooke away had some goods bellonging <h> to one Mr Burdeaux an english minister in the first yeare of the warre
<To the 13th> Hee saith that the said John Stafford was owner of a quarter parte of a frigot called the Harp, which vessell was Imployed as a man of warre at Sea and <i> brought in prisses and pilladge taken into wexford and further saith not &c
