The examinacion of Patricke Codd of whitehow{
<To the 1st Interr> The Examinant deposeth and saith that he knew the said John Stafford did Liue at Balliconnor aforesaid in the County <k> of wexford and Irish quarters as well the first yeare of the rebellyon as sometime sithence & did not thence remooue as sundry english & protestants neere his habitacion did
<To the 2d interr> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d interr> Hee deposeth and saith that the said John did actually contribute in all publicque taxes to the Irish the <l> said first yeare and since in order to maintayne & further the rebellyon against the english
<To the 4th interr> Hee deposeth that the said John was actually in armes against the english the said first yeare of the warre and as the deponent conceiueth in the capacity of a Major being <m> soe called throughout the whole countrey & further saith that the said John was in Armes at the ffight or battell at or neere Rosse in the County of wexford when the english Army was then Comanded by the Lord of Or Ormond
<To the 5th interr> the deponent saith that he hath seen the said John at sundry publicque meetings of the Irish in the said first yeare <n> of the rebellyon in order to the promoting and forwarding the Irish designe against the english
