The Examinacion of William Stafford of Tamon on the behalfe of the common wealth concerning John Stafford of Ballyconnor gentleman deceased
<1 interr> The said deponent to the first interrogatory saith that the said John liued at Balliconnor the first yeare of the warr & afterwards during his <r> life & did not remove therout to the English quarters nor could thence remove but as this deponent conceaueth without losse of his estate into the English quarters
<2 inter> To the 2d interrogatory the deponent cannott depose
<3 inter> To the third interrogatory the deponent saith that he verily beleaueth the said John Stafford paid his proporcion of the publicke taxes imposed <s> on the countrey for the forces of the County as well the first yeare as afterwards during his life & that he durst not doe otherwise as he conceaueth for feare of the forces & others to plunder him
<4 5 inter> To the 4th & 5t Interrogatory he cannott depose
<6> To the sixt inter he saith that he verily beleeveth and according to the best of his memorie that the said John Stafford was of the <t> Countie Councell in the first yeare of the warr & at severall publicke meetings of the Countrey that yeare & afterwards as well for the defence of the Countrey as to choase assembly men
<7> To the 7th interr the deponent saith that he verily beleaueth that the said John Stafford toke the oath of assocaicion being a thinge generally imposed on all men of any note as this deponent conceaueth
<8> To the 8th interrogatory he cannott depose
<9> To the 9th interr the deponent saith that the said John Stafford was one of the Commissioners of the army in the yeare 1643 or 1644 or in both & acted neare a moneth in that trust according to the orders from the Supreame Councell to the said Commissioners of the army
<10: 11: 12: & 13: Inter> To the rest he cannott depose
