The examinacion of Patricke Lacie of Eniscorthy yeoman aged fiftie yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Edmond Synnot of Garriniske in the barrony of Ballaghkeen & County of wexford gent.
<To the 1st interr> The deponent saith that the said Edmond dwelte at Garriniske in the barrony and County aforesaid in the Irish quarters the first yeare [
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th inter> The Examinant Deposeth that he is very Confident that the said Edmond (as the gentry of the Countrey generally did) actually contributed Men, money and Armes in order to the promoting the Rebellyon in the first yeare of the rebellyon same, This deponents <w> cause of knowledge is for that there was an order in the said Barrony that euery gent that was possest of three hundred accres of land should rayse and mayntayne at his proper chardges one man to serue in the trayne band Company in the barrony aforesaid which Company of soe raysed afterwardes were & serued in the Irish Armie vnder the Conduct or Comand of Captain Morish Murphy a Notorious plunderer.
<To the 5th inter> The deponent saith that this deponent hath seen the said Edmond frequently at the meetings of the Irish in the said <x> barrony as well the first yeare as since in order to the promoting and forwarding the said Rebellyon against the english
<To the 6th inter> The deponent saith that he beleiues the said Edmond was <y> present at the publicque meetings of the Irish in their electing of members for the generall assembly

In which the deponent Conceiues the said Edmond had a vote, as being a man of good estate & well affected to Irish cause
<To the 7th inter> The deponent saith that he beleiues the said Edmond did take the oath of associacion, it being a generall thing
<To the 8th inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 9th inter> The deponent saith that the said Edmond did execute the office or Imploymemt of Cheife Collector in the vpper <z> quarter of Ballaghkeen, in the yeare 1643 or therabouts He and at seauerall yeares sithence This deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was made vnder collector to the said Edmond & did by vertue thereof leuy the monyes applotted in the warrants directed to this deponent & paid the same over to the said Edmond accordingly
<To the 10th Inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 11th Inter> The deponent saith that One William Sacheuerell (since a Captaine & member of the parlyments Armie) Dwelt at Balliknockan the next village to the said <a> Edmond Synnot from whence he the said William fled to Dublin leauing behinde him all his goods & Chattles, which were soone after plundered by his neighbours.
