Donnogh Keinsly late of Balliclery yeoman aged sixtie yeares or thereabouts Deposeth concerning the foresaid Edward Masterson of Burrowes gent
The exa That the Deponent hauing occassion to goe to Carnow about Christmas 1641: to Thomas Maisterson of Cranecrinnaght this Deponent did see a great Companie of the Irish forces gathered In Armes beseiging Carnow castle, that was then kept by the english And further saith that the said Edward Masterson of Burrowes (while the deponent was there about his busines as aforesaid) did come thither with a partie of horse and foote with him, and Joyned with the forces that were thither <f> gathered and laying seige to the said castle in manner aforesaid where the deponent did see the said Edward & his men both on horse backe and on foote brought thither by him the said Edward At which time the deponent did see the said Edward speaking with Luke Byrne the cheife comander of them beseigers and further saith not
