Thomas Hayes of Corke gentleman yeoman aged 25 yeares or there abouts beinge duely sworne vpon the Evangelist and examyned deposeth and sayth that <B> in the yeare of Cessacion he this deponent beinge gatheringe of tyth att dugless and one John ô Lyne was gatheringe of the fourth sheafe this deponent asked of him and sayde John ô Lyne itt is gennerally reported that yow killed my vnckle Humfrey Wills I pray yow tell me whether yow did itt or noe then the sayde Lyne aunswered and sayde that he did kill him and he with six more Came vpon him and killed him he beinge in the feild reapinge of wheate and that he Clove his heade with his sword and that was the sword by his syde, he then layinge

Layinge his hand on his sword then this deponent further demaunded of him whether he knew (what begame of A Gun his Vnckle had) whoe answered that he had itt; then this deponent asked him that if he would sell itt he would giue as much for itt as itt was worth but he sayd that he would not sell it but yett if the deponent would giue him twoe musketts for itt he should haue itt wherevpon this deponent did promise him to giue him twoe musketts for itt if he would bring itt which he then faythfull promised but never as yett brought itt; And ffurther this deponent deposeth & sayth that att the tyme the sayde Lyne was apprehended he acknowledged that he [
