<C> seige Donnogh Mc Carthy Lord Viscount Muskery the Lord Roch the Lord of Ikerrin the Lord of Castle Connell Dermott ô Brian of Thomond Donnogh Mc Nemara alias Mc Nemarra of Thomond Esquire since deceased. Oliver Stivenson & divers other Rebells whose names he now cannott call to mynd Marched & came also to the said seege in Limrick & ioyned with the rest therein: And in that time whilest all the parties before named were in Limerick at the said seige two english women were throwne off a bridg in Limerick by Rebells which he knows not, & the one of them drowned & the other swyming towardes the shore was knoct in the head with a stone & so beaten back into the water & drowned alsoe: And further saith that about the same time whilest the parties Rebells before named lay before the said Castle in seige there were as this deponent hath been credibly enformed and beleeveth severall other English persons whose names he cannott expresse murdered by the Irish souldiers which the deponent cannot name, but never heard that any of those murderers were either putt to death or questioned for the same except the man that knockt the woman in the head Hee alsoe saith that one Mr Manwaring an Englishman with others sallying out of the said Castle of Limerick & intending to turn some of the Irish guns vpon the beseegers was there by some of the beseegers slayne in the enterprize: And hath heard that manie of the Englishe beseeged were slayne & shott in the Castle by the beseegers before mentioned & by many of the Citizens which were papists whoe Joined with the rest in the time of the seige for many [
And alsoe that very many of the beseeged perished & died by want and their restraint there: And this deponent further that after the said six weeks closse seige & after that the walle of the Castle was shattered & broke by springing of a myne and vndermineing the same the same and whenas many were dead in the said Castle & that their provision & amunition grew very scant the beseeged were inforced to surrender the said Castle vpon quarter of liffe & goods And the same was then & there delivered vp & surrendred accordingly to them the said generall Barry Major Generall Purcell Donogh mc Carthy Lord viscount Muskery, the Lord Roch the Lord Ikerrin the Lord of Castle Connell Dermott ô Brian Donogh mc Nemarra Oliver Stivinson Dominicke ffanning Sir Geffrey Galway (since executed Doctor Higgins Thomas <d> Arthur John White fitz David Patrick ffanning William Comin ffrancis wolf & thowsands others of the beseegers whose names he cannott at this tyme remember
