The Examination of Henry Dyllon taken the 26: of Aprill 1653:
Sayeth that hee heard that about August 1642 Eighteene Englishe Souldiers runninge away <A> from theire Cullours Att A place called Bealanillencle weare sett vppon by the Countrey people who liued there abouts And weare there Murthered, But whoe they weare that Murthered them hee knoweth not, In regard hee Liued att that tyme; Att A place Called Bayllingadderry ffiue myles distant from the place wheare the Murthers weare Comitted, but hee hath heard that his brother Garrett Dillon And alsoe that One John Dillon and Robert Dyllon weare principall Actors in these Murthers And further sayeth not.
