The Examinacion of Stephen Darcy of Ballybaccagh Gent: taken vpon oath before the vndernamed Commissioners on the 17o Novembris 1652 at Ballirobe
Saith that he went to Shruell to Mass on the day that the Murther was there committed being on a Sonday where he saw the Lord of Maio, Sir Thibbott Bourk now Lord of Maio, John Browne of the Neale, Andrew Browne, & further saith that one Hobane of My Lord of Maio his men was actiue in the slayeing of the English, And alsoe that others of them that came alonge with the Lord of Maio were acters in the murther
