The Examination of Thomas Lynche of Shrewle
<A> The said Examinant being deposed sayth That the Irish Convoy with the English with them lay at Kinlagh a myle from Shrewle the night before they come to Shrewle and the next night lay at Robert Lamberts in Shrewle, the next day after being Sonday about Eleuen of the Clock He heard some shooteing and afterwards a great Crye, wherevppon he went forth and inquired what the matter was and he watched & saw that they were killing the English, At which tyme he saw one Marcus McE neas Euer of Macarre leaueling his peice at an English man in the Ryuer to whereuppon he went into his ffathers House againe, and knoweth not whether the said Mr Ennis shott, nor where he now is, He further sayth That hee was told that the now Lord of Mayo and Maior Browne of the Neill went were goeing ouer the Bridge and were forced back but by there [
