Mr Steeuen Darcy being duely sworne deposeth that about the Latter end of September 1641 the same day that the Murther was Committed at Shrowle this deponent <A> saw William Burk betweene Ballybacah & Kil l ternan with about the number of 20 men Armed with skeynes swords & Pikes of his Tennants & followers (at that tyme there being noe Commander of the Countrey some of which Tennants & followers vizt Miler Mara Tho: Burk of Ballysnihine Hugh ô Dirnan of the same same with diuers others of them this deponent saw at Shrule in Company in Comp with them that Committed the Murther and that they tooke Jewells & Rings from seuerall of the English & Scotish that were Murthered & gaue them to the Chilldren of the said William Burk and further this deponent saith not taken at Gallway September the 25 1652
