The examination of Patrick mcCaherye borne at Clownis the County of Monahan taken before vs Sir Sa: Mayart knight &c & Hugh Cressy esquire this 4th of Nou: 1641.
<E> Who beinge examined saith that the theis 4 yeares last past or therabouts he liued in the County of Kildare at Clowningor in Breminghams Country with one John Ash Hue o Quiglye & that the last yeare he went into the North of Ireland wher he serued as a soldier vnder Sir John Gifford, after which the soldiers were disbanded he came to Brimighams Country where he liued with the said Hue o quiglye til after May last euer since vntil yesterday fortnight beinge wedensday he went to Castle Jurdan to speake with Sir John Gifford who beinge not at home he came the same day back to Balliagan 2 miles on this side Castleiurdan to a house of one of the Walshes & that ther was only in his company one William Moore who dwells in the towne of Clownis (who hath no trade vnles it be sellinge of drinke, & [
