The Examination of Robert Boyton taken the 6o day of November 1652
Sayth that hee went with the Convoy from Cashell, and only to attend Docter pullen, and That hee saw nott any Murder, nor heard of any till at his returne, and then hee heard only of A little mayd whoe was Killed by A Cowboy. and since hee heard of A two more which were then killed. hee sayth that hee Cannott tell <A> weather hee were Ensigne to Patricke Boyton or nott. and further hee sayth hee sayth that the Cowboys Name was Donnogh Odwyre, and that hee was Committed by Ed. Sall maior of Cashill, and bayled by .... Hackett Deputy Maior of Cashell, and afterwards, tryed att the Asises Heald in Clonmill before John Welch Justice of Assise, and by the Jury found Guilty, butt by the said John Welch discharged. and further hee saith nott.
