The Examinacion of Stephen Deckster of Athlone taken beefore vs this 29th of Aprill 1653 for and on the beehalfe of the Comon Wealth of England Concerninge the hanginge of George Dyllyon and John Stibbs
This deponent Sayth that hee Knewe the Said John Stibbs and George Dyllyon and Knoweth that they were hanged In this towne for and Concerninge Some letters which they were charged with for the beetrayinge of the towne And or Castle and that they were tryed by A Councell of warr and Soe adiudged and hanged And this deponent Sayth that She Hee hath heard that the Said Lady Should Say that Shee would Neyther Eate Nor drinke vntill Shee Sawe had the Said George Dillyon And John Stibbs executed but did Neuer did heare the Said Lady Dyllyon Say any thinge of it her selfe And this Deponent sayth that Sir Robert Tibbott and Sir Walter Dungan was att the tryall of the aforesaid persons and further Sayth not
