Who being duely examined saith That vpon Saturday the 23d of October 1641: he came home to his owne house at Tobbran about 3 miles from Moneymore & about one mile & an halfe from Lissan, (haveing th{

That when he this Examinant came thither he found the said Mr Allen & his wife & family stript & robbed of all he & they had either a broad or at home by Tirlagh ô Neile McShane Oge & Neile O Neile (as report present went) who are now protected & live in the Barony of Omey. That <C> he this examinante for former favours received from the said Mr Allen clothed him severall times & that he heareing the Scotts had kill’d about 25 Irish Gentlemen at Agher in the County of Tyrone he remoued his family & all his goods from his former habitacion neere Lissan to a place within a mile of Dungannon for feare of the Scotts & the better to preserue the said Mr Allen And this Examinante being demaunded if he were not at Lissan when Andrew Young was kill’d he saith he was drinkeing at Andrew Youngs house together with Henry O Haggan some day in December 1641 which Henry O Haggan had command of some men, & that after they had beene a while merry there, he this Examinante went to his said house at Tobbran & that That night as he heard the said Andrew Younge was killed by the said Henry O Haggan (since dead) in his the said Andrews owne house in Lissan And this Examinante further saith That he did not heare of any body whatsoever Killed in or about Lissan except the said Andrew Young & that he did not know or heare of any one Brittish <D> man or woman kill’d any where else. And further this Examinante saith that the Cheife Irish had every one a precinct, & that the said Henry O Haggan haveing some horses taken out of his precinct into the said Neile oge ô Quins precinct by some of his, or his sonnes men, he came to Lissan to recover his horses & fell vpon Andrew Young for the said horses as he this Examinant supposeth And further he saith not
