The examination of William Erwine of the cittye of Londonderry (a souldier vnder the command of cap: Hales in the rigiment of Collonell Hercules Hunkes) taken before mee Henry ffinch esq Mayor of the Ciitty of Londonderrye & one of the the justices of peace for the Province of Vlster who beinge duly sworne & examined sayeth
That uvpon a sabath daye about fiue wekes past the deponent beinge in a house within the subberbes of the said Cittye betwene one & two of the clocke in the afternone goinge in company one John Gilpattricke with him, ther came to the doore of the said house the dore beinge shutt one William <A> Boye & knocked at the dore, [

This deponant beinge examined whether the said Boy was drunke or sober saith he was either drunke or made for he was soe unrulye that althouge he was once or twise thrust out of the doore yet ther could be noe quietnes but drawinge his knife said Ile bleed you, vntill the gard came & tooke him awaye & farther sayth not
